Reference to member of the Mehmet family whom ruled the Ottoman empire during the time that the article's subject had offered protection to? edit

Hey, so this article mentions (and I quote) that "the prince vowed protection to Mehmet and his family" halfway through the first paragraph, and references the same person at the beginning of the last paragraph.

According to the timeline (for the rulers of the Ottoman empire), the Mehmet/Mehmed family would be this dude, Bayezid II (1481-1512). That dude's predecessor (whom actually carried the Mehmet name), Mehmed the Conqueror, ruled the Ottoman empire from 1451-1481, and Bayezid II's sucessor would be Selim I (whom was the sultan from 1512-1520). So the dates for the name "Mehmet" don't seem to correspond with the dates in these other articles, and the actual name is probably Bayezid II, the eldest son of Mehmed II

So unless that quote is referring to different people, I think the text should probably read something like "the prince vowed protection to Bayezid II, Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1481-1512 and his family" or perhaps something like "the prince vowed protection to the Mehmet family whom ruled the Ottomon empire at the time." Something like that...
