This article looks like it's lifted off the Vitasoy website. Lots of irrelevant details, looks more promotional than encyclopedic. Like: How to drink Vitasoy? Nutritional value of soy drink? --Kvasir 23:57, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Not really. I added the "how to drink" part, which was obviously drawn by me, as not everyone is familiar with the tetra brik packaging, likewise the way to drink the milk (and I have put these stuff to the last misc part, together with the slang definiton). And I did the same to the disposal way of the box, which, supposedly, is printed on the drinking-box. Of course, since vitasoy is the main nutritional drink (unlike Coca-cola, mind you, it's no soft drink; that's why people would not state the upsides of that fluzzy drink) for Hong Kong people in the early days, stating some benefits of drink soyamilk is not an inappropriate act, anyhow. Furthermore, it's just a scientific understatement.

That's not promotional, though. You can see two main scandals about vitasoy, and also some Islamic views on the dismerits of drinking soya milk. The entire stuff is not trying to help vitasoy sell its products--not with the slightest intention. Compared with Coca-cola the Goliath, vitasoy is just a tiny little, with little fame and scandal in his own.

But I agree that this article deserve an absolute tidy-up from head to toe. This article should mainly talk about the drink, but not the company. :) Spliting this article into two is highly appreciated. -- Jerry Crimson Mann 04:14, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Actually Vitasoy is the name of the company, not the drink. I thought this article is about the company. Vitasoy has many beverage products and soymilk is only one of them. There are many Vitasoy beverages that are unrelated to soymilk. It doesn't matter if this article mentioned about the scandal or that fact that it is a much smaller company compared to Coca-cola. Article is promotional

I think this article is promotional and needs major editing, some points:

Did they invent soya milk? That's what it seems like from the article, actually it's been around for thousands of years.

It's written in ad-speak and PR language.

Re scandal, only mentions bacterial problem in the last sentence.

How to drink from/dispose a Tetra Pak container is not specific to Vitasoy though. Juice boxes around the world are using this kind of container. The drawings would probably be best fit on the Tetra Pak article without the Vitasoy-specific box.

The paragraphs of Company’s vision and Company Mission is completely in PR language. For example in this sentence:

Since its establishment in 1940, Vitasoy International Holdings Limited has grown to become one of the world's leaders in providing vigorous nutritious foods and beverages that perk up the quality of life for its customers.

The bolded words shows PR word-choice plus the entire sentence is promotional and non NPOV. The bits on benefit of soymilk do not fit in this article. This article is on Vitasoy THE COMPANY and soymilk is not their ONLY product. I don't think we need to start writing the nutritional value of ALL their products for the sake of completeness do we? That paragraph really belongs to the soybean article. --Kvasir 20:55, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

I agree about the drawings, it doesn't matter where they come from, they are not relevant and should be on articles relating to disposable food containers, litter, or recycling etc. LDHan 09:31, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

It looks like the pictures of the TV ads are from their website. Is copying word for word whole sections from a website not a violation of copyright? Perhaps you have permission from the copyright holder or the material is in the public domain?

History

Please update History - Development of other brands:

In 2001, Vitasoy opened its first manufacturing plant in Australia. In 2008, it acquired Unicurd Food Co. (Private) Ltd., a tofu manufacturing company in Singapore. Vitasoy’s plant in Foshan and Wuhan, Mainland China were opened in 2011 and 2016 respectively. In 2016, Vitasoy divested certain assets of its North American operation. Vitasoy USA continues its sales and distribution of Asian import beverage business in North America.

 Not done I am going to close this out as declined. The article already has a maintenance issue tag for poor sourcing and these are no better. They are from the company's own website. This article begs for WP:Reliable Sources, meaning something covered by mainstream media that is considered notable. Please return with coverage of this other than your website.
