Official and Diplomatic Passports

edit

There used to be a section here for visa free travel requirements for diplomatic (red) and official (blue) passports. Why don't we instate that information again? It is highly useful for travelers bearing official passport credentials. - عثمان وقاص چوہان 07:17, 4 July 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uchohan (talkcontribs) 07:17, 4 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I'm working on updating the page. FYI, the guy before me added certain language that I had edited out. Almost all visa Wiki links; have such data. I do not see why this page should be excluded.

By the way, I have added visa required for Vietnam. However, last I checked Phuc Qouc was part of Vietnam not mars. Thanks! Faraz (talk) 19:47, 16 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

In addition to the above, it clearly states 'Notes excluding departure fees. What I have added is entirely relevant to the subject in question. Faraz (talk) 19:51, 16 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi. First of all regarding the language used - "E-Visa can be obtainable if you Pakistani nationals holding Schengen Member State valid visa." does not even mean anything in proper English. It resembles English Pidgin, but most certainly it is not encyclopedic. You may read WP:NOTGUIDE to learn more about why direct speech needs to be avoided. Regarding Vietnam, the fact is that there is a column for notes where this info should be and not in the column for the general visa policy where you had added it in your first edit. Vietnam requires visas from Pakistani nationals, but as a note to that, visitors of all nationalities to Phú Quốc island do not require a visa. This does not make Vietnam in general a visa-free destination, but an explanatory note tells us that there is this tiny island where general rules do not apply. Hope this clarifies the issues.--Twofortnights (talk) 19:53, 16 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

What you are referring to was not one of my edits. However, much of the article states ordinary passport holders. In addition, such language is found on almost all visa articles. Nevertheless, I'm working on improving it and I'm glad we were able to build consensus on the issue that such notes are relevant to the subject in question. Faraz (talk) 20:02, 16 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

You kept reinserting that content so I don't understand whose edits were they? Also, such language is not found in any of the visa articles. Please read more at MOS:YOU. Thank you! --Twofortnights (talk) 20:46, 16 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

I see. The text you are referring to was posted by anonymous user User:212.118.124.74 I will try to update the content. Faraz (talk) 00:31, 17 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Can you please elaborate on your recent undo regarding Bhutan? as per timatic website it clearly states VISA ON ARRIVAL subject to prior approval by tour operator..Faraz (talk) 16:10, 27 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

It's the same for all countries. It's not VOA, it's simply visa placed into passport on arrival but it has to be pre-approved. Bhutan has one of the strictest policies in the world but it also does not maintain diplomatic relations like other countries and it also does not have many embassies and consulates, thus it allows those who have a prior approval to have their visas placed into their passports on arrival. The only other country that issues tourist visas but only to those travelling through a designated tour operator is North Korea. Therefore there is no VOA, you must travel there by paying for one of the tour packages of an approved tour operator.--Twofortnights (talk) 17:44, 27 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

I will keep it as is. However, I will add a note.

UAE

edit

I heard that the UAE has banned people from entering the UAE and they will not renew their visas. Should this peice of information be added? Here is the source: https://www.thehindu.com/news/international/uae-suspends-issuance-of-visit-visas-to-pakistan-11-other-countries/article33130939.ece

Egypt Visa on Arrival for UAE residence

edit

Egypt is giving visa on arrival for Pakistani passport holders having UAE residence (may be GCC residence as well). Even people who have approached the Egypt embassy in UAE for sticker visa, they have been asked to get visa on arrival from embassy itself.
