applicable? While Hyrych was undoubtedly the victim of illegal aggression, there is no evidence that she was targetted, nor killed while working. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 11:40, 30 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Pigsonthewing: The first, definitely not IMO. The second... depends what your definition of "while covering" is, I guess. She wasn't covering it at that moment, but she was covering it for a living at the time of her death. But, as you say, she wasn't targeted. At List of journalists killed during the Russo-Ukrainian War I "solve" that problem by dividing into a "line of duty" sublist, an "outside the line of duty or under ambiguous circumstances" sublist, and a military journalist sublist. I'm not sure the best way to translate that to category paradigms that. While I have you, though, do you have an opinion on whether this is viable as a standalone article? To me, as much as I would like to see more articles on journalists killed in the invasion, especially female journalists since at the moment they're disproportionately likely to not have articles, I'm not sure that Hyrych or her death has enough coverage to merit a standalone treatment. My inclination would be to merge this into a mini-bio in the list, same as other entries have, but the article's creator seems opposed to that, so I'd appreciate a third opinion before pursuing any next steps. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 09:57, 3 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
I've removed the former category. I still have doubts about the latter. As yet, I have no view on notability per se. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:36, 3 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
