"Music and lyrics" section

"The lyrics are cryptic, as they start off with Martin's falsetto recalling: "Was a long and dark December/From the rooftops I remember there was snow" and continuing with the second line of the tenth verse "If you love me/Why'd you let me go?".[9][11][13] The song ends with Martin playing the piano and singing in falsetto, and nearly spoken-words whispers: "If you love me/Won't you let me know?"[9][13]"

Please, someone tell me the purpose of this paragraph above. It asserts that the lyrics are "cryptic" but then all it does is simply regurgitate the song's lyrics with absolutely no explanation, purpose or relevance whatsoever. The sources are equally nondescript and irrelevant and have little to do with the paragraph other than providing quotes of the lyrics (not even that in some cases). The whole thing is useless.

I'm deleting it. Any objections? 58.7.160.188 (talk) 01:03, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

First of all, if you see other Coldplay songs, "God Put a Smile upon Your Face", "In My Place" and "Speed of Sound", which happen to be Good articles, you'll realize that that section is needed, as a Featured article "What You Waiting For?", can help out. The section is needed to describe the meaning of the song and its lyrics, per here. Also, before deleting information, it would be best to leave a note in the article's talkpage, than just seemingly removing it. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 01:17, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
