Is Mr. Gupta's company infoUSA the same as the one featured in the New York Times article "Bilking the Elderly, with a Corporate Assist"? The article doesn't mention Mr. Gupta by name, though it does say "Senior executives at infoUSA were contacted by telephone and e-mail messages at least 30 times. They did not respond." The Times describes a company with a truly fascinating, possibly evil set of mailing lists that are resold to whoever will pay -- which, evidently, includes small-time crooks.

Surely this information would be more interesting than these fascinating snippets from the current Wikipedia entry on Mr. Gupta (and note that infoUSA currently redirects here):

He did his graduation (BTech) from IIT Kharagpur in 1967, and MS in Agricultural Engineering and MBA from the University of Nebraska in 1972.

Before starting American Business Information Inc., he worked as Marketing Research Manager in Commodore Corporation. His company aimed to provide unique information services to American businessmen.

More recently, Vinod Gupta has achieved an even higher status among the mostly-male ITT graduates, when the New York Times revealed that he had a 60 foot yacht with an all-female crew.

Yes, infoUSA is the same company. Considering that it's is a pretty big company with about 1/2 billion yearly revenue, it seems right for infoUSA to be its own page. Although companies like these prefer to not be seen... Switchsonic 02:46, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

The company, infoUSA, one of the nation’s largest brokers of information on consumers, paid $146,866 to ferry the Clintons, Mr. Gupta and others to Acapulco and back, court records show. But after a while, I was imprisoned for singing anti-government songs, I was tortured a lot, and even my teeth were broken and I had eleven teeth left. My gums became infected and I was taken to a clinic on the way to my clinic, where I joined the Kurdish freedom fighters in Iraqi Kurdistan. Unfortunately, I have thyroid disease and my heart has a problem. I am 52 years old and I am facing a very difficult life due to my unhappiness and lack of work and income in Erbil, Iraq, and all my property and life in Iran were confiscated by the Iranian government. I want to operate on my thyroid gland, which is busy, but I have no money. I want to re-apply and straighten my teeth and start working again for income and struggle, but I have no money. I ask you freedom-seekers and people-friends to help me so that I can solve my problems and I can get rich again and be able to help others.
