dyk suggestion edit

Good job on the entry. Above is a suggestion for the dyk. My only comment is that the article has too many blue links.--Riurik(discuss) 06:29, 21 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. Sounds good to me. —dima/talk/ 22:32, 21 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Entry suggested here.--Riurik(discuss) 05:04, 22 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think the hook about in how many governments (including the current one) he was serving (4 or 5?) would be more interesting. It is not uncommon for a prominent economist to also be a professor but to be appointed to the gov so many times is much more hooky. --Irpen 04:16, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

The number of governments is interesting, but when formulating the hook, I wanted to make it a) short and b) expose it to other less developed articles. The university one seemed to work. Additionally, the hook now leads in two different categories: political through Pynzenyk and educational through the university vs political (Pynzenyk) and political (# of governments he served). Still, your commentary is sound, and I would not object to your modifying it per above.--Riurik(discuss) 20:12, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Just as a piece of additional info, as long ago as in early 1990s I spoke to the guy who studied in Lviv University and taking a course that was supposed to be taught by Pynzenyk. He told me that the professor was not much around to actually teach (he was already in the governmental business back then). And note, he was not the Vice-prime minister even at that time. In more recent years, I doubt his professorship in LU is anything but nominal. People so high in politics have a very tight schedule. --Irpen 21:02, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Very interesting, and let's not forget that he is drawing two governmental salaries, plus whatever the perks come to one, when that high in office. By the way, the entry is getting close to the "5-day eligibility deadline", and I hate to move it for "next update" myself as a nominator, so if anyone else has a minute, please do so.--Riurik(discuss) 00:22, 24 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

3 terms of finance minister? edit

The article mentions 2, but Interfax mentions 3 [1]. Can anybody clarify this please? — Mariah-Yulia (talk) 02:10, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
