edittried to put in as much as i could find, but couldn't find info about the awards he has got so far. can someone add it if possible? Jam2k 22:12, Dec 18, 2004 (UTC)
Rewrote some lines to remove inaccuracies :
- Hazare was not the first Indian captain
- India's second victory came in 1952/3 not in 1974
- Many of his firsts for India are not so qualified
- 316 was not out and 309 was out - not the other way round.
Comments :
Keep an eye on Hazare's 18740 runs and 60 hundreds which are second best to Gavaskar at the moment. Tendulkar is only 500 runs and 2 centuries short.

is a link to all Hazare's first class innings.
http://cricketarchive.co.uk/Archive/Scorecards/f/6/f6181.html is the only higher first class score made in a losing cause.
Left out the specifics about 79.84% as I don't know where it stands now. Glenn Turner bettered it around 1970 and there is atleast one innings from Ranji Trophy in the early 1990s that is better than Hazare's.
Comment : Vivekanand Hazare was usually known as Vivek Hazare.
