double or triple round-robin tournament is not fully exact. As it is said later indirectly, the players held consecutive mini-matches (for two wins each). If the third game ended with a draw, the players got each a half final (match) point. The given statistics are showing the correct result - but the given "Total" is just a later add-up (and therefore a bit misleading concerning the outcome). Only the mini-match results were counted, that is why a play-off had to be held between Steinitz and Blackburne. --DaQuirin (talk) 20:08, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
