Many information is missing, proposed structure

This article is very short and no mention is made to many subjects, like how it evolve to IP systems. Maybe the following structure could be better:

1. A brief resume of the audio technology which evolved to video intercommunication systems.
2. A brief resume of the previous video technology, which made possible to build the video intercommunication systems.
3. A history of the first video intercommunication systems,
   1. which technology was used,
   2. how they were wired and installed,
   3. pros and contras
4. Which technological advances allowed to supersede the contras, leading to the next step in the evolution of this kind of devices.
5. Which standards were followed by the industry.
6. How each technology interfaces with it's precedent.

repeat for each technological step, until the last available one, maybe the IP connectivity, is covered. Then finishing with the future trends.
