Talk:Victor Emmanuel Railway

Proposed name change edit

Most of the English Wikipedia articles on Italian railways use the Italian name, e.g. Società per le Strade Ferrate Meridionali, Società per le strade ferrate dell'Alta Italia, Società per le Strade Ferrate Romane. For consistency, I plan to move Victor Emmanuel Railway to Società Vittorio Emanuele. Are there any objections? Mock wurzel soup (talk) 11:34, 8 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

I see the French Wikipedia article uses the name Compagnie du chemin de fer Victor-Emmanuel. To be fair to both the Italians and the French, perhaps we should keep the English title, Victor Emmanuel Railway. Mock wurzel soup (talk) 23:09, 8 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Information needed edit

There seems to be some disagreement about the successor to the VER on the Italian side. The article says Società per le Strade Ferrate Calabro-Sicule but the infobox says Piedmont State Railway. I think the Piedmont State Railway might have franchised the operation to Società per le Strade Ferrate Calabro-Sicule. Can anyone confirm this? Mock wurzel soup (talk) 23:05, 8 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
