I can't remember where, but I think I've read somewhere that European Vespula species introduced to Australia and/or New Zealand are sometimes able to produce workers all year round (due to the mild climate, presumably), and that because of this the nests reach huge sizes. I've heard this to be true in Florida as well. Anyone with personal experience?Pollinator 01:09, 24 Oct 2003 (UTC)

Is there a difference between Vespula and Paravespula?

edit

I've seen both the species vulgaris and germanica with each of the genus names. Has the genus been renamed or are there four different species?

Wasp, Vespid

are there differencies ? interwikis are not correct if they are different... --130.83.244.131 10:08, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC) fr:Utilisateur:Moala

Vespid should preferably redirect to Vespidae and not the other way round. All the other families follow this convention. Shyamal 09:51, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

The gallery at the bottom of the page overlaps the sidebar (one of the pictures is floating over it). I'm not sure how to fix it or else I would, but I thought that I should point it out. It appears to happen only in Firefox for me, not in IE 7. --Fadedstarlight (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 15:48, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
