Talk:Vermont–North Macedonia National Guard Partnership

Cynical item with no valid ref edit

"* Macedonia continues to reform the Army to gain accession into NATO.[1]"

I removed this. The reference is dead. I can't find any source that indicates it was said by any responsible official. If someone did say it I do not think he should be an official anything any longer. It is not the kind of thing you would say over the table. The item also is too cynical to be real. You mean, that someone such as Greece or the US has promised Macedonia that if it works with the USNG it will be accepted by NATO? But how could they do that? The US has no power to make or enforce the statement and Greece has no power to speak for the US. There is nothing here that is not obvious. ALL the E. European countries have accepted partnership just because the US has offered to help them strengthen their new militaries, after decades of non-independence. Greece and Macedonia have long-standing issues about who owns Macedonia and where it is. I dare say, the ancient Greeks had those problems also.Botteville (talk) 01:06, 23 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Tasks as of Sept 2017 edit

The history needs to be researched and written up, replacing current list. The plans need to be updated and presented in prose. Don't forget more references.Botteville (talk) 02:40, 23 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
