Talk:Venskus

Old talk edit

Why does my article have that paragraph at the bottom? Can I get it taken off? I didn't add it, and it doesn't have anything to do with the European resort I visited last summer. Why can't I edit my article back to the way its supposed to look?

First, it's not "your" article. Once you submitted it to Wikipedia, it became the community's article. Second, that paragraph looks like it's on its way out, unless verifiable sources are produced. Third, you can't edit it because it's protected. I intend to unprotect soon. Hermione1980 14:25, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
I didn't mean to imply ownership, I apologize.
  • source needed for the Project Venskus section, it looks a lot like the deleted vanity page from last week
    • (Anon preceded to make personal attacks and allegations against Reid A. I have removed them per WP:RPA. Hermione1980 17:48, 18 December 2005 (UTC))Reply
      • Why don't you take a look at the user talk page of Whelck and see what's going on. It seems that this guy was banned from the site and now wants revenge or something.

Please stop edit warring and discuss on the talk page. I have protected the page now. Hermione1980 23:20, 17 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

sources for the Project Venskus are at www.ufck.org and www.omletteville.org -Reid A. 23:21, 17 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
i see nothing related to Venskus on either website

Unless I see some more credible sources for this pretty soon, I'm going to unprotect and delete the section. Hermione1980 18:03, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Verify edit

So far absolutely no verification has been given as to the information on Project Venskus. A cursory search on google reveals nothing. I suggest that the information be removed in seven days, on 24th December, if no verification is forthcoming. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Venskus--File Éireann 00:03, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Sounds reasonable to me. Hermione1980 00:12, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Whoa, I though a date of December 24th was agreed upon-Reid A. 18:32, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Insufficient sources edit

http://www.omletteville.org/ does not exist.

  • -It did until It was referenced here-Reid A. 01:33, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
    • Why would a website disappear after you made a post about it here? 19:59, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

http://www.ufck.org/ offers 25000 discussion threads to read, but I am unable to find any references to Venskus. My search for any mention of Venskus was hampered by the broken search function for the site.

Try doing a google search within the site, eg "project venskus site:ufck.org". Hermione1980 14:25, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment-I also have been able to pull out of my browser the part of the forum where the project is discussed and where the members talk about manipulating wikipedia.... Im just not sure how to display that information here....-Reid A. 15:10, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
    • Try either linking directly or copying and pasting the text if it's not too incredibly long. Hermione1980 15:27, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
    • The text is huge so I may just upload the file to my webspace and link it for download.-Reid A. 15:37, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
      • AlsoIf you search for this "venskus site:ufck.org" you will find tons of references to venskus on the ufck.org site-Reid A. 16:01, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion edit

the information reposted from article dleted by Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Venskus is speedily deleted according to WP:CSD. Also, it belongs to the title Project Venskus, not Venskus, since these are totally different topics. mikka (t) 21:56, 19 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
