Transliteration of the name edit

Transliteration of the name is wrong.

  • This man is Ukrainian but "Vasily" is transliteration of Russian version of this name Василий, Ukrainian one would be "Vasyl" (Василь).
  • The last sound of surname is х, which is transliterated in English by kh (but h means г). See here

Name of the article must be changed for Vasyl Protyvsikh. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dƶoxar (talkcontribs) 20:25, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

On English wikipedia WP:COMMONNAME is used. Not sure what his common name in the English language press is though. BBC uses Vasyl Protyvsikh. So move does not look strange to me...

Vasyl Protyvsikh is more appropriate, considering that his surname is basically two Ukrainian words strung together, as well as the fact that this is what the press predominantly calls him. --93.73.49.245 (talk) 17:39, 6 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
