  • Vaseline is not a genericized word. It is an internationally recognized wholly owned trademark brand of products. Redirection should correctly go to the Vaseline Brand page. SkincareScientist 18:45, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

I think the obvious question is: Is Vaseline a food? Cash Cab says the guy who invented vaseline ate a spoonful everyday for 60 years. Is there any verification for this? Dragix (talk) 22:17, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Lubricant

Should there be anything on here about vaseline being used as an(anal) lubricant? I mean: it's oil-based, so it's better not to use it(should be waterbased instead). I would say that's important information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.206.139.28 (talkcontribs)

These concerns are discussed in personal lubricants, which article is referenced early. I think this does it. No mention is made of Vaseline as a lens smear to soften nude photos either. Cgmusselman (talk) 21:09, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

Unnoticed Vandalism

Observe the following comparison:

As you can see, someone stuck in a name (their own or that of someone they know, I guess). I can find no references regarding a "David Brookes" and Vaseline, except from Wikipedia and articles lifted from it. The fact that so many sites have copied these "facts" is a bit embarrassing, don't you think? Watch out for a repeat, just in case. Pandarsson (talk) 13:14, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
