Overhaul edit

Hey everyone,

I took the liberty of giving this page an overhaul. The Variable Density Tunnel was first and foremost an influential piece of scientific equipment, so I opted to refocus the article on that aspect and downplay the National History Landmark status. I added a lot more information about the specifications and history of the VDT as well as how it impacted the world of aeronautics and beyond. I added a few extra sources and made sure to find a source for any material that was not cited before. All images came from NASA on The Commons.

Note: if you want to find more information or more images that are copyright free, NASA's technical report server is open to the public, loaded with primary and secondary sources, and their NASA run wiki page has tons of photos that are copyright free (according to https://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/guidelines/index.html).

If there are any issues or concerns, please let me know. Hcritchfieldjain (talk) 05:12, 8 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
