Lower Colorado River Valley-(north of Yuma, Arizona)

A route-(County Route S24 (California)), north, then north-east from Yuma, Arizona, from Winterhaven, California, through farmland along the Colorado River floodplain, a convergence area with the Gila River and surrounding, various mountain ranges... the route eventually arrives at the river proper as it turns north to the Laguna Dam, at various times of day, but especially towards early morning hours, with the cooling atmosphere, a valley exit jet is encountered as one rounds the small hills, and enters the riverbank course. (valley narrows, with some localized lake regions, marshes, brushland, etc.)

At times of storms and Front passages, the winds become, orders of magnitude more violent. There are also 50 percent times of calm, (area heating?) when no winds occur.....Mmcannis (talk) 13:46, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
