Watch you language edit

Can somebody transliterate "Всероссийский научно-исследовательский и проектно-конструкторский институт электровозостроения"? Trekphiler (talk) 22:45, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Voltage edit

Presumably 25 kV AC 50 HZ though not stated; have added 25 kV category. Hugo999 (talk) 01:23, 9 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Traction engines edit

Are you illiterate? Electric locomotives have no engines. They have motors. A device must burn fuel to convert its energy to movement in order to be called "engine". Good examples are internal combustion engine or jet engine but electric devices with similar predestination are called "motors". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.66.206.193 (talk) 02:44, 16 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Number Produced edit

We have 2 different production totals: Infobox states 4,917, article 2,107. Are these referring to married pairs or single locomotives? Because 4,917 married pairs would be around 10,000 single locomotives. Please clarify, and find a good source for production numbers! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.51.51.5 (talk) 16:47, 25 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
