I'd argue that this topic is notable. The article may not have been fleshed out, but the proliferation of 3D projectors and emitters using this port during the last year has been dramatic, and there is plenty of information regarding the history of this standard, the products that use it, and usage guidelines. If the article were merged, the section on this standard would eventually balloon and serve to bloat the host article. Of special note, the port is used in a now-popular product family based on the BitCauldron BC100 emitter which includes various attachments using the VESA Stereo port/protocol such as the BC010 IR sync gatherer, and various components of that family are rebranded by Monster, VP, and Optoma. While there is an industry consortium forming to try to standardize 3D RF protocols, this product is slowly becoming the de-facto standard for 3D glasses portable between vendors due to it being the only option available that offers manual tuning of lens phase and duty cycle, and as such, the Vesa Stereo port is also solidifying itself as a notable AV standard.
