Notability

edit

Hello @Celestina007:, Not sure you saw my response at the teahouse but here it is: The only reference SIGCOV makes to the content is that it addresses the topic directly and in detail, so that no original research is needed to extract the content. It doesn’t say anything about the title pointing to TOOSOON. That aside, I agree that the subject does not exactly have significant coverage and struggles to meet GNG but even TOOSOON says that even in cases where a person might not meet the GNG, the GNG itself is not the final word. Editors are encouraged to also consider the topic-specific notability sub-criteria He meets at least #1 of the SNG for actors having had significant (named) roles in multiple notable movies except you’re saying the GNG is a must. Thank you. Princess of Ara(talk) 09:21, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Princess of Ara, I’m not sure I understand what you are saying, but SIGCOV has nothing to do with the length of an article you are creating/you created. SIGCOV makes reference to sources. You could create a cookie cutter stub and the references would easily satisfy WP:SIGCOV. As for the notability status, you make mention of SNG’s for actors, would you mind re-reading WP:NACTOR and explain to me the Significant roles they played in the movies they have featured in, what movies? At best their roles appear to be negligible. That is, except you consider Bit-parts to be significant (named) roles. Celestina007 (talk) 10:09, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
My question was not pertaining to the length of the article because I know articles can be started as stubs. My question was about the volume of coverage in the reliable source that counts as significant coverage but nevermind because I've found answers in the archives at WP:BIO. He was the lead in Hire a Woman, Oga Pastor and Sergent Tutu. He also had significant supporting roles in Kambili: The Whole 30 Yards, Kpali and Prophetess. I don't know what you mean by "bit parts". @Princess of Ara, “I don't know what you mean by "bit parts"” and you are creating articles for actors? If you can’t tell “lead/main”, “supporting”, “bit parts” and “extras” then perhaps you shouldn’t be creating articles for actors. Celestina007 (talk) 12:00, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Celestina007, We learn everyday and I've educated myself on what a bit part is. The subject has had roles which are not bit parts like I pointed out above. Princess of Ara(talk) 12:18, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Celestina007, can I go ahead and resubmit the draft? Princess of Ara(talk) 20:09, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Princess of Ara, “can I go ahead and resubmit the draft?” You know how Wikipedia works, you have been here long enough to know you do not need my permission for that. In any case, the article was declined today by me and resubmitting it immediately is not a brilliant idea. Furthermore I noticed you created at least half of the aforementioned movie articles, per AGF I’m not going to believe you walled/content-forked for the sole purpose of creating this very article. If I remember correctly this is the fourth attempt, by diverse spa’s/sleeper accounts(not implying or saying you are one) to try and move the article into mainspace. If there is a COI to disclose, remember to do so. If there isn’t, kindly disregard. Celestina007 (talk) 21:05, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Celestina007, I just had to ask to be sure you don't have any objections or advice. This page only links to Godstime Elijah, hardly any SPAs or sleepers. You keep claiming to AGF but still manage to cast aspersions in the same breath. Sigh. Princess of Ara(talk) 06:20, 12 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
