This article really shouldn't exist. Greens Escarole and "Utica Greens" are almost exactly the same thing. This is an advertisement for "Utica" and that's about the long and short of it. Look up any "dish" they claim was "invented" there: "Chicken Riggies (an actual article here on Wikipedia!) and Chicken Rigatone are also essentially the same dish, with Chicken Rigatoni predating "Chicken Riggies" by over two centuries! Uticans also claim they created "Half moon cookies" and "Tomato pie" despite incontrovertible evidence they created neither.

Can't we do something about this endless self-promotion by these Utica people using Wikipedia as a soap box to make all sorts of laughably and obviously made up claims? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.79.96.5 (talk) 08:51, 10 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

This article needs to be deleted altogether as it's not about an actual dish, just a VERY minor VARIATION of a well established dish "Greens Escarole".

The locals to "Utica" have a very strange braggadocios way of self-promoting this regional VARIANT of again... a well-known recipe.

They did the same with "Utica Riggies", which are LITERALLY a renamed version of the VASTLY more well known "Chicken Rigatoni".

WHEN will Wikipedia FINALLY put an end to this regional marketing push that exploits Wikipedia for advertising and promotion? This is demonstrably the result of a few local Utican radio show DJs who endless ly try to trap people to move to that cesspool with their delusions of grandeur and an off-putting desperation to appear "famous".
