editIt looks like you've found some good sources for expanding Wikipedia's coverage of urban development in Detroit. The next step should probably be to merge some of what you have here into the existing article on the topic, Urban development in Detroit. Note also that Wikipedia avoids the prescriptive, essay-like tone of parts of this article; rather than saying things "Detroit needs", the preferred approach is to attribute such positions to their advocates. So "John Smith has suggested that, rather than abandon manufacturing altogether, Detroit should..." or the like.--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 14:38, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- I agree that it seems this content is better suited for inclusion within Urban development in Detroit. My76Strat 23:37, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- Also, the last paragraph of the article has no citations. It should only be included if you can find references that discuss this material in relation to Detroit in particular. Otherwise, it is original research to synthesize material in this way. Awadewit (talk) 00:04, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the suggestions. I originally wanted to work this article in with the Urban development in Detroit page, but I decided to create the article first, and merge it later on. I will take care of the edits that were suggested, and probably eliminate the last paragraph. The intention there was to familiarize myself with adding page links on an article. coogan630 —Preceding undated comment added 00:55, 11 November 2010 (UTC).
