Coup

edit

By some counts he performed a coupe in 2116 BCE, and installed the last "sumerian dynasty". Can this be confirmed? - Jerryseinfeld 16:04, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)

See Sumerian_king_list:

  • Utu-hengal of Unug: conflicting dates (427 years / 26 years / 7 years)
drives out the Gutians
  • Third dynasty of Ur
"Sumerian Renaissance"
    • Ur-Nammu of Urim: 18 years

for the year, see short chronology. dab 17:24, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Stele?

edit

There is nothing in the section about the stele that indicates why this article associates it with Ur-Nammu. It doesn't even assert that it dates to his reign.--23.119.204.117 (talk) 06:33, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
