Clean-up edit
This article is not up to the quality standards of Wikipedia. Please preview your edits and pay attention to details. It's not hard to tell that this page doesn't follow the pattern that other Wikipedia articles conform to:
- the "Notes and references" section is messed up;
- too few wiki links (the majors were originally appropriately wikified, but someone replaced the internal links with external links)
- far too many external links and not enough actual details on the page itself; Wikipedia is not a link aggregator or web directory like DMOZ;
- external links are inappropriately spattered throughout the entire page; inline external links should be sparsely used and only for specific documents/files, such as the interview MP3, unless the sentence containing the link is referring to the linked webpage or website itself—e.g.:
The HTML 4.01 Specification was made a recommendation by the W3C on December 24th, 1999.
- poor formatting—please review the Manual of Style; use a bullet list if you're going to list things on separate lines; use proper heading markup, not the bold markup; use proper blockquotes or the {{quote}} template (see: Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Quotations);
Vandalizing, I'll have to monitor this more often edit
It's well known that links from Wikipedia hold no weight in search engine rankings or optimization. The reason and point for external links is UAT's programs are not traditional and the links provide the fullest description of each program. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Raltieri (talk • contribs) 19:23, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
External link usage edit
The use of external links in the article in not appropriate, for a few different reasons. Wikipedia is not an internet directory; per WP:EL "External links should not normally be used in the body of an article. Instead, include appropriate external links in an "External links" section at the end of the article, and in the appropriate location within an infobox, if applicable."; and per related article guideline, on the Academic profile profile section: "External links should not normally be used in the body of an article. Instead, include appropriate external links in an 'External links' section at the end of the article, and in the appropriate location within an infobox, if applicable.", and also states for the External links section: "Give a link to the official website of the college/university, preferably in the English language. The number of links here should be kept to an absolute minimum."
I've only applied the cleanup tag {{external links}} for now; but the article needs to be cleaned-up to meet established article standards for Wikipedia. --- Barek (talk) - 18:40, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
