Talk:University College Utrecht

Latest comment: 4 years ago by Globalwikireader

shouldn't something be mentioned about costs like tuition fee and board and lodging?

It seems some sections are a bit more like an advertisement text than a proper wikipedia entry. Also, the random information about the dispute between descartes writings and the university seems not in place. (heading: academic buildings) (Thepillow (talk) 21:24, 5 June 2008 (UTC))Reply

I rewrote the section on universities that alumni are going to to make it sound more factual: 1) it is not necessary to include the word prestigious 2) given that under the current education system, a Dutch university has to accept students from its undergraduate programs, there is nothing about students continuing their studies at Utrecht University Globalwikireader (talk) 05:06, 25 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I read it again. An encyclopedia article should not include private and non-verifiable where UCU alumni continue their studies. I removed it. I think there should be a very simple principle: there really cannot be that much to say about a 3-year college that only focuses on teaching, has no independent history and that has existed for maybe 15 years. So why quote external sources about what “liberal arts” means other than adding irrelevant volume to the article? Why is it relevant that the buildings are named after famous philosophers? Academic buildings edit

Since 2008 there has been a new division of the academic buildings. The descartes building is no longer used for University college teaching. (Thepillow (talk) 17:58, 23 November 2009 (UTC))Reply

Descartes Dispute edit

The information about the Descartes dispute under the academic buildings sections seems irrelevant, as it is about the whole university of Utrecht, not specifically about University College. (Thepillow (talk) 17:58, 23 November 2009 (UTC))Reply
