The organisation in question labels itself "a new union"[1], and the newspaper sources within the history section also state it will be a new union. However, the recent history section that was added was a history of United Voice, with no sources for their claims. Since each component of the merger had its own history and sources from both the union and newspapers suggest this is a new union, the histories of those two unions should be kept on their appropriate page.
