Lincoln Responsibility for Pardon Proclamation edit
While it may be true that Lincoln issued the proclamation in 8 Dec 1863, Lincoln was assassinated in 1865, and this case took place in 1871. Lincoln's successor Andrew Jackson was probably the president who actually signed Klein's pardon. Perhaps this should be noted in the article. The article leads one to think, but does not say it directly, that Lincoln issued the pardon.
On the other hand, the case itself does not mention when Klein received such a pardon, so perhaps it is not strictly relevant. 129.98.229.79 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 18:33, 27 September 2010 (UTC).
