I'll read through and start the review proper later today. Hchc2009 (talk) 08:44, 28 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Well-written:

(a) the prose is clear and concise, respects copyright laws, and the spelling and grammar are correct;

  • Some of the apostrophes are out of place: "critic's reviews" > "critics' reviews" (plural of critics); "while it's "unique" -"its" (possessive, not a contraction of "it is"). One "it's" should be expanded in formal writing - "It's opaque and white during the day" - should be "It is opaque..." Hchc2009 (talk) 10:33, 28 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • A minor (not a GA requirement) thought was that "That same year, the Samuel W. Lewis Hall was dedicated in honor of Samuel W. Lewis, a former ambassador to Israel and USIP president." probably repeats Lewis's name unnecessarily; could it be "That same year, the Samuel W. Lewis Hall was dedicated in honor of the former ambassador to Israel and USIP president." (linking the "former ambassador" to Lewis's article?)

(b) it complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.

  • The first sentence of the lead has a slight problem, in that it is trying to avoid repeating "the United States Institute of Peace", but as a result uses an unexpanded acronym (USIP) in the first sentence, which isn't ideal. How about "The United States Institute of Peace Headquarters houses staff offices and other facilities for the government-funded think tank focused on peacemaking and conflict avoidance. The building is the first permanent home for the United States Institute of Peace (USIP), established in 1984."?
  • " and "glows" at night" - I wasn't sure the "glows" needed the speechmarks here - my thinking was that it either glows at night or it doesn't! :)

Factually accurate and verifiable:

(a) it provides references to all sources of information in the section(s) dedicated to the attribution of these sources according to the guide to layout;

(b) it provides in-line citations from reliable sources for direct quotations, statistics, published opinion, counter-intuitive or controversial statements that are challenged or likely to be challenged, and contentious material relating to living persons—science-based articles should follow the scientific citation guidelines;

(c) it contains no original research.

Broad in its coverage:

(a) it addresses the main aspects of the topic;

(b) it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).

Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without bias, giving due weight to each.

Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute.

Illustrated, if possible, by images:

(a) images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid fair use rationales are provided for non-free content;

(b) images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions.
