Misleading info edit
The article opener states that the Code “does not prescribe any penalties for failure to follow the guidelines”, but in fact section §3 of the Code prescribes that a violator of this section “shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $100 or by imprisonment for not more than thirty days, or both, in the discretion of the court.” 2600:1008:B13B:3891:3D78:1CD5:7956:9A14 (talk) 02:19, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
Dipping the flag...or not edit
There was a situation comparatively recently (say, 21st century) at which many countries were present and dipped their flags to honor someone who had died recently. I don't remember the circumstances but it would provide a more recent example of not dipping the flag. It might have been at the beginning of Olympic Games or a similar event I had seen on television. I recall the person who had died was noted worldwide. My first thought was Pope John Paul II but I can't find anything. Any ideas? Humpster (talk) 05:18, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
