Who cares about the sponsors? I don't really see how that is important information. I suspect someone has personal motives for including this category, and it should be deleted.

The motive for including sponsor had more to do with the discs being used to win the event than anything. With most players using single-sponsor bags, a lot can be inferred about the discs used to win the event. This was far more significant in 2009, when I initially created this page (I'm throwsplastic) and earlier when the lineups that each sponsor offered was much smaller. It wasn't a disc-a-month industry back then.
