Official duty station

When I converted the current judges over to the U.S. judgeship current template, I purposefully did not copy over the official duty station. I have some serious concerns about the correctness of some of the duty stations, and I would like them to be reviewed instead of blindly copied over.

Parker has recently moved from White Plains, NY. Two pieces of evidence support this:

1. The FJC web page indicates that Parker was a district judge for the Southern District of New York prior to his elevation to the circuit court.
2. [1] indicates Parker's duty station is White Plains, NY, but is clearly several years old, since Hall's seat is listed as a vacancy. Meanwhile the job site is listing locations for the 2005 - 2006 term, among others.

Therefore, I would list Parker as Stamford.

I'm curious: where do you get that Meskill is based in Hartford?

BTW, the list you posted agrees with the list of duty stations that I didn't copy over, except that Walker was listed as NYC (which is one of the judges I was concerned about) and Meskill was listed as New Britain, CT.

I'm pretty sure Meskill is at New Britain. See http://www.internships-usa.com/fedct/1st.htm. The same site lists Walker in New York, but a more recent site lists him in New Haven. --PrinceValium 02:03, 27 May 2005 (UTC)

Policy on en banc review

Reading up on Arar v. Ashcroft, I see several comments noting that the 2nd circuit has a strong tendnancy not to grant en banc review. For instance, secondcircuitcivilrights.blogspot.com notes: "The Second Circuit is notorious for denying nearly every request for en banc review."
