This page should be renamed "Union of Protestant Free Church Congregations in Germany". The German language distinguishes "evangelisch" and "evangelikal", where "evangelisch" is the theologically more general "protestant", denoting churches that derive from Martin Luther's reformation. --62.99.212.215 (talk) 17:53, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

But evangelisch is more specific than Protestant, and the English word "evangelical" can mean evangelisch as well as evangelikal; for example, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America uses the word in the sense of evangelisch, not evangelikal. —Angr 18:44, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
