Dharmadhyaksha, the independent articles are in a sad state. There are too many gaps. The current content of the articles is in the form of highlights or messy tables which adds no value to readers. There are so many reasons to keep as well as merge! One article will add depth and value to reader, like the article Economy of India. Wikipedia is a summary. Not a listing of every point in the budgets. Also immediate reactions to the budget are lame and superficial. Lets create one article which has depth. DTM (talk) 16:39, 13 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Mottezen, Please read above comment. The articles are in a sad state. Some list highlights which aren't really useful, the government comes out with official highlights etc There are so many reasons to keep as well as merge! One article will add depth and value to reader, like the article Economy of India. Wikipedia is a summary. Not a listing of every point in the budgets. Lets create one article which is a good summary. Manageable. DTM (talk) 16:39, 13 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Comment: Then again it could be argued that work needs to be done on this article and the individuals ones can remain as well. I agree. Either way I will keep improving this one. I think merging in the short term will help. DTM (talk) 16:39, 13 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Merge is not cleanup. "2018 Union budget of India" and "2020 Union budget of India" are blueprints on how each of these articles can be improved. As most these article were written in the internet age, sources to do justice to these annual budgets are available online.
Please do consider improving this article, but there is no need to merge all these articles together to do that. If anything, it would just make it more difficult. Mottezen (talk) 16:51, 13 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
