Some suggestions for peer review: 1.Find a new place in the article for the last part of the ethical section about the European countries doing an ‘Opt out’. I thought it didn’t fit well with the previous statements/facts in the section. 2.Add a description under the title of Current Legislation of UAGA in the U.S before the table to inform readers what the table was about a little better so they don’t have to decipher it themselves 3.Include an equal amount of information on each UAGA so that the article is more balanced. 2006 has a lot more than the others but maybe that isn't something you can fix, just a thought! We noticed a few grammatical errors but overall good article! Meghangrossmann (talk) 01:00, 11 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Request correction to one sentence edit

In full disclosure, I am a communications representative of United Network for Organ Sharing, which coordinates the national organ transplant matching and data collection system. The following sentence is factually incorrect, perhaps misstated either in the source material or in summarizing from it: "As of 2016, there were less organ donors registered than the amount of people that are in need of an organ or tissue transplant.[6]" It is true that the number of actual organ donors in the United States (people who donated at least one organ for transplantation) did not in 2016, and still does not, equal the number of candidates in need of transplantation. That is different from the number of "organ donors registered." Per the nonprofit organization Donate Life America, more than 130 million people in the United States were registered organ donors as of the end of 2015 (https://www.donatelife.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/DLA_AnnualReport_2016-low-res.pdf). Per national UNOS data, there were no more than approximately 122,000 people registered on an organ transplant waiting list during any portion of 2016. We do not track tissue transplant registrations. Even so, the cumulative total of people awaiting a transplant is far less than the number of registered donors nationwide. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JnewmanUNOS (talkcontribs) 15:07, 21 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
