Patent image edit

Why is the patent image public domain? Yoninah (talk) 23:54, 12 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

The photo is not marked as copyrighted and the university gives also a download link for an high quality image. the image date is 1910-1934 and with no copyright notice, therefore is under the PD-no notice domain, as rightly stated in the licence. On the website there is the notice: Online Photo Galleries, Electronic Theses, Dissertations, Proceedings, and Publications MSU Library Digital Online Full Object Retrieval collections are downloadable .jpg file format historic photos and documents. http://www.lib.montana.edu/digital/full-object.html --Elisa.rolle (talk) 01:03, 13 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Sorry if you are referring to the strapless images, is an image created in 1921, therefore is PD since it's before 1923 (The patent was recognized in 1924, but it was requested in 1921, as also stated in the image itself) --Elisa.rolle (talk) 01:03, 13 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
