Should this article exist?
editThe Longest flights article is more detailed, tho perhaps it doesn't have the history that this one does. But I can't see any point in retaining this one. Can I suggest merging it into the other one? Boscaswell talk 03:05, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
- I entirely agree, @Boscaswell has absolutely valid points, there is no additional value in maintaining this article which also has lots of factual flaws as well as repetitiveness for a poorly defined topic, how do we go about proceeding with this? DigitalExpat (talk) 11:40, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
- Its been 6 months with no response/suggest consider merging this outdated/redundant article into Longest flights? 07:28, 3 December 2021 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by DigitalExpat (talk • contribs)
History section misleading
editIn addition to the valid question in the topic above, worth noting that the "history section" is very light on details and misleading, for example 34 of the world's currently operating longest flight routes are blocked for 16hrs+, yet this is not inferred or mentioned here. While it does contain some of the more notable/well-known historical ULH routes, it falls short in providing a strong representation of the now relatively common ULH nature of flights as commercial aviation gravitates away from hub-and-spoke to point-to-point models.
