My information is that this airbase was known as either "Udorn" or "Udon Thani", but not "Udon". Can anyone confirm?
I was assigned to the 20 Helicopter Sqdn "Pony Express" (a det from Nha Trang RVN) at Udorn during 1967. Udorn was the name and spelling used by all U.S. military personnel but the official Thai spelling is Udon or Udon Thani.

Whoops if I missed it when I wrote the article. Actually, I'm going back though a lot of the Thailand/Vietnam air base articles and doing a lot of cleanup of things. Also, it does take a village here on wikipedia to make the articles better - thank you for adding the information !!!

For the last few months I have seen reference to Hanoi flights starting in April via Vietnam Airlines. I have tried to find a source which shows that this is a fact including Vietnam Airlines website, and it has come to not. Unless a source can be found I will remove this in the next couple of weeks.
