Athletics edit

Introduction USU Eastern competes athletically as the Eastern Utah Golden Eagles and is the only campus in the USU system to have it's own athletics program.[1] The Golden Eagles are a member of the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The Bunnell Dmitrich Athletic Center serves as a venue for many of the athletic events.

Men's Sports edit

Baseball edit

2011 record of 21-41, 9-31 in the SWAC and 12-16 at home.[2]

Basketball edit

2010-11 record of 23-8, 10-1 at home and were invited to attend the Region 18 Men's Basketball Tournament in Twin Falls, Idaho. They lost the first round to Salt Lake Community College, the only team to beat the Eagles at home.[3]

Intramural sports (Ultimate Frisbee, Flag Football, and Volleyball) Soccer



USU Eastern fields four varsity sports: (men's baseball and basketball, and women's volleyball and basketball), and one club sport: soccer. The Eastern Utah Student Association (EUSA) also fields several Intramural Sports Competitions throughout the school year. It is a member of the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Despite the new affiliation with Utah State University, USU Eastern is maintaining its current athletics programs, which will continue to compete as the Eastern Utah Golden Eagles.
