Boat's WWII history would be a lot easier to follow if dates included years - like "Triton made a training cruise to Midway from 30 August to 15 September...." would be more helpful as "Triton made a training cruise to Midway from 30 August to 15 September, 1941..." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.50.90.64 (talk) 05:20, 23 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

The rumors that Triton was sunk by friendly fire are noted in this article. These are based on what appear to be self-published sources, which are usually unacceptable at Wikipedia Self-published sources. Please chime in if you disagree. Otherwise I'll delete this material.
