Wilderness?

Is there any source on this business about Wilderness? Whalepelt 19:47, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

There is no source and very little credibility to it — I think someone is blowing smoke up our discharge ports. A few minutes later: A little walk through the history shows that the claim was added by an anonymous editor who has made no (0) other contributions. I have deleted it completely. ➥the Epopt 03:32, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Replacement?

Wouldnt this be replacing the USS John F Kennedy rather than a nimitz class carrier — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.2.166.148 (talk) 22:13, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

The ship will be replacing the USS Enterpise CV-65 when it is finally built.Reb1981 (talk) 00:30, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Improve this article

Could somebody improve this articles? The reason is that this articles possibly contains tentative informations. Daniel 5127 01:20, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

The picture for this article and the CVN-78 article are identicle, captions are different though. possibly erronous "artist impression" of the cvn-79 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.95.72.245 (talk) 14:01, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Naming

The citation for the Arizona name fell off the Congressman's website after 3 years, and instead of getting tagged with a "citation needed" was deleted outright. This is wrong -- it was a cited point and a replacement was found in about two minutes by using Google. I have put up a new citation -- the actual letter from the Congressman to the Secretary of the Navy. Best, Markvs88 (talk) 15:04, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Poor image

The image

really doesn't add anything to the article. I can't find any reason for it to remain. The carrier depicted is the USS Abraham Lincoln, a Nimitz-class vessel. What's the point? Dziban303 (talk) 19:01, 19 January 2013 (UTC)

Improper use of "PCU" in ship name

"PCU" is not a prefix and is not part of the official or common name of a vessel, and should not be used on Wikipedia articles in ways that imply that it is. Please see the detailed discussion of this issue on the USS Gerald R. Ford talk page. Shelbystripes (talk) 20:42, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
