Jewish sailor?
edit"Seaman Benjamin Kreiger,(a.k.a. George E. Miller), a 15 year old Jewish enlisted sailor stationed in the turret, is controversially credited with saving dozens of lives during the terrible accident."
I don't see why the ethnicity or religion of the boy who allegedly saved these lives is at all relevant to the topic. He could be white, black, Catholic, Muslim...it has no bearing on the subject. At least his age kind of puts things into perspective...either young and brave or young and dumb! Although I'm curious...how did they know it was him, or that the port gun wasn't already loaded before the powder started burning? I'm guessing they found it loaded with powder but no shell. Everyone by the guns was killed, so there couldn't be witnesses. Anyway, I'm deleting the "Jewish" reference.45Colt 01:29, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
