While the radically converted yacht had a more profitable and notable career than most of the yachts and motorboats taken in as Section Patrol vessels, most of which had most un-notable careers beyond the professional historians documenting almost anything that floats with an officer in command, the most notable, famous, and newsworthy event was as the site of the secret surgery on President Grover Cleveland. That event will be forever linked to the yacht Oneida.
