I don't know how to properly disagree Wikipedia style with the above statements. Both the orders for the photographer, Frank Pulsifer & the Captain John Wesley White (seated at left) were signed by Lincoln the day the photo was taken aboard the ship. This photo is included in Secretary Seward's (seated at right) autobiography. The only change made to the photo is as a result of Lincoln having moved his head slightly during the photo exposure, his face was blurred. The photo was retouched to sharpen his facial features. It is entirely authentic.

As I point out, this photo is in Secretary Seward's autobiography. It would then require extrodinary proof that it was a fake. I have seen several copies of the photo unretouched with Lincoln's face blurred. Both Captain White's & Frank Pulsifer's families have their respective orders signed by Lincoln on that July 11th 1864. - First of all, the photo is not labelled a "fake". The text says according to the US Coast Guard website the photo is a fake. It's an attributed rather than absolute claim. Secondly, "I have seen several copies of the photo unretouched" and "both families have an original copy of the same photo" are not claims that can be acknowledged by this project. Anyone can claim anything, what you need to do if you'd like to see changes made to the text is supply proof of your claims by citations to reliable sources, as I have already pointed out.
