Eustis edit
Eustis was not given a non-punitive letter of reprimand. (What is that, anyway? How can a letter of reprimand not be punitive?) Eustis was cashiered by order of the president. The Coast Guard investigation board recommended court martial, but the president dismissed Eustis from service and cited the incident of Captain Isaac Philips on the USS Baltimore as precedent.
One of my friends sat on the investigation board. We argued the propriety of Eustis's dismissal many times. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.229.94.101 (talk • contribs) 11:06, October 12, 2014
- Perhaps you could provide a citation from a reliable source. Personal anecdotes can't be used as a reference. --Dual Freq (talk) 12:29, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
