Me too. Conventional steel, very similar stuff by chemistry, costs about US$ 600/tonne (2020) in the largest quantity, before fabrication. Also, most manufactured items cost (not sell-for) about US$ 20/kilo. It looks to me like the weird thing about this material is that it might make sense to do the precipitation heat treat after fabrication. I have no idea about the resulting costs, however.
