Number of collections

edit

The logo’s description claims that the eight leaves represent the eight collections, yet the Collections section in the article has only seven subheadings. What’s going on? Brianjd (talk) 03:18, 25 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

<small> tags

edit

Is there a reason that half the article is wrapped in <small> tags? It’s making it very difficult to edit this article. Brianjd (talk) 04:21, 25 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • @Brianjd I thought it would be better to make all the fonts in tables smaller to separate it from the main body of the text? --Florante Apellido Cruz (talk) 05:41, 25 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • @Florante Apellido Cruz: Please indent your replies (by adding a : or * to the start of them), to make it easier to follow the discussion. The easiest way is simply to add as many colons as you need, so that your comment is indented relative to the previous comment. Bullets are better, but don’t worry about them if you can’t figure it out.
Regarding the font size, you might notice that we already have standard mechanisms for applying formatting to various elements, including tables, and it is usually best not to interfere with them. The specific guideline is here: Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Text formatting#Font size.
Now, does that apply here? After all, these are large tables. Well, you can see my failed attempt at removing the <small> tags here: Special:PermanentLink/958679938 (it was a failure because it also removed other formatting; I have reverted it). I think the tables look OK. Anyway, many of them will probably be removed when other editors get involved. Brianjd (talk) 06:03, 25 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • I have removed the <small> tags again. This time I did it correctly. If you agree with this change, add {{Section resolved|~~~~}} to the start of this section (just below the heading). Otherwise, just add another comment here. Brianjd (talk) 06:26, 25 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have removed many links (and will probably remove many more) per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking. Feel free to add them back if you think I have gone overboard. Brianjd (talk) 11:47, 25 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
