UNIFFAC β†’ Central African Football Federations' Union – Procedural nomination after bold move by User:Intrisit. We normally do not have abbreviations as article names, so this does require a discussion. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:59, 7 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose - "We normally do not have abbreviations as article names"? You mean apart from FIFA, UEFA, CONCACAF, COSAFA etc. (the latter of which was moved at RM, see Talk:COSAFA#Requested move 16 August 2023. GiantSnowman 11:13, 7 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
    Also e.g. NATO for a non-footballing example... GiantSnowman 09:26, 8 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - Perfect, so you've brought a discussion. In the COSAFA talk page request (which I initiated), I mentioned no disambiguation for this title, which was then echoed by the participants there; Stevie fae Scotland, Icem4k and Number 57, whom I'll invite to debate on this as well. What's more, by my assertions of your request, you barely considered WP:COMMONNAME which I used for another request, this time for UNAF and WP:RMUM, which I used (to my surprise, given the resistance to these by the WP software) on this page. Also, if you've been noticing, these abbreviated titles given should themselves be disambiguation page titles instead. But since none of them currently have "(disambiguation)" attached to their titles as opposed to others, the conclusions will all arrive at this juncture per WP:MALPLACED, unless other articles which would mean the same popup from somewhere her on WP, which would then need some sorting out too.
