Geologic History?
editit says: "The spectacular peaks of the Tushars were formed between 22 and 32 million years ago by volcanic activity that included a calamitous explosion that blew off the top of a massive peak perhaps as high as Himalayan peaks." I am suspicious that this means what it says. Are the rocks 22 to 32 my old? or the caldera blow was 22 to 32 mya? While that is not all so long ago, it seems odd to have 22 my old 10k foot tall mountains. A source would be a big help. Ratagonia (talk) 04:50, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
I can find no sources supporting the contention that a massive volcanic explosion blew of the top of a massive peak in the Tushar Mountains. Although it's possible, I suspect the statement of supposed fact is just someone's speculation. I did, however, find a website claiming the same thing, but the text was obviously taken directly from this Wikipedia article. I'm suggesting the statement be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:A601:A9A5:C000:42A:751F:D60F:271C (talk) 19:29, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
