Probably. There are similar languages San sublanguages in Africa that have an extreme paucity of speakers. Given that the name of the language is more often recognized as the name of the tunnel on the Pennsylvania Turnpike then a tribe or language... that conclusion is probably not entirely incorrect. 68.39.174.238 03:30, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Skarureʔ or Skarure?

Should it be Skarureʔ or Skarure? Should Skarure be followed by a special Unicode character?

@ICE77: Probably. That's the International Phonetic Alphabet symbol for the glottal stop. I don't know what the article looked like 11 years ago when you commented, but now the lead section begins

Minor Error?

"Possessive Constructions

Ownership is divided into alienable and inalienable possession, each of which type has its own construction. An example of inalienable possession would be a body part—this cannot be disputed. An example of inalienable possession would be a piece of paper."

That should be "alienable" in the case of the piece of paper, no?

Active language revitalization efforts

Hi, there's an active language revitalization project going on which is currently producing speakers. I am advocating for parity of language with respect to the use of present tense in the description of the language as well as information about the project, in-line with the Massachusett-Wampanoag and the Miami-Illinois language. As well as the use of the orthography introduced in Rudes (1990)

The last two sources don't conform to our WP:RS standard. The first source seems to confirm its extinction but is trying to be revived as a taught language. That doesn't stop it being extinct. DeCausa (talk) 22:25, 21 September 2023 (UTC)

The difference between "trying to be revived" and "being revived" is not clear to me, maybe you can elaborate? Again, I am only asking for parity with the Miami-Illnois language and the Massachusett-Wampanoag language. Mchill2023 (talk) 22:34, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
